Kids Cottage
The Kids Cottage Middle Harbour OOSH is a non-profit organisation managed by a volunteer Committee of parents and school community members. The Committee is a sub-committee of the Middle Harbour Public School Parents & Citizens Association (P&C).
We offer before and after school care for the students of Middle Harbour Public School in Mosman, as well as vacation care for the greater community. The Kids Cottage believes in providing an inclusive, age appropriate, creative, active and fun program with a variety of choices, in a safe, caring and sustainable environment.
We believe in respecting individuality whilst challenging the children’s growth cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically and encouraging the development of essential life skills.
We strive to provide the highest quality standards of out of school hours care responding to the community’s needs and contributing to the continuing education and well being of children in our care.
The Centre currently caters for up to 230 children daily, which is separated into three groups allowing for the programs to reflect the cognitive, social, physical and emotional development of each group.

Operating hours
The Kids Cottage Centre is open for before and after school care, Monday to Friday coinciding with the school year. Kids Cottage also provides Vacation Care during the school holidays.
The Centre closes for two weeks over Christmas.
The Centre provides adequate staff to child ratios as per government regulations
- 1-15 for in centre,
- 1-8 for excursions &
- 1-5 for swimming.
The program reflects the My Time Our Place Framework and the Centre philosophy, while adhering to the Nation Quality Framework and National Quality Standards.
In 2016 the Kids Cottage underwent Assessment and Rating, a process in which ACECQA, the governing body, assessed the service against the 7 quality areas of the National Quality Standards and was given an overall rating based on these results. The Kids Cottage Achieved “Exceeding National Quality Standard”

Thank you for your interest in The Kids Cottage Before and After School Care program. We have full availability for both Before and After School Care for 2021 so please complete the enrolment forms below and we can book your child/ren in for fun filled morning and afternoon care.
When enrolling your child/ren at Kids Cottage please complete our Enrollment and Parent Code of Conduct forms along with emailing through a copy of your child/ren’s immunisation records. Links to all of these forms can be found attached below. We use our software provider Xplor for all bookings and for our parents to sign in and out their child/ren. Our Xplor setup pack is also linked below to guide you through signing up to the Xplor Home app.
