P&C stands for Parents and Citizens Association. The Middle Harbour Public School P&C works collaboratively to raise funds to support the school. Events that are organised by the P&C reflect the sense of community we have at the school. In addition, the P&C is a point of contact for new parents, and provides opportunities for parents and carers to stay involved and up to date.
Thanks to the P&C our school provides our children with a wonderful canteen, Kids Cottage (before and after school and vacation care), a uniform shop as well as extra-curricular opportunities such as the Middle Harbour Bands and String Ensembles. Each year the P&C aims to raise at least $60,000 to support the school. Those funds make such an impact. It’s a big goal but with such a supportive community we can do it!
Family involvement in the school is always encouraged and it is fun! We are very fortunate to be supported by many committed families who put an admirable amount of energy into events through the year, that are enjoyed by the parents, staff and children.
The P&C holds meetings twice per term on Tuesdays in Weeks 3 and 8, and these are held in the school’s library or staff room at 7:30pm. These meetings are friendly and relaxed. The Principal attends these meetings too and provides a very informative update. We follow an agenda and minutes are published on the website. (Please check schedule and minutes on the P & C Meetings Page)
Everyone is welcome and it’s a wonderful way to learn more about the school.
The P&C also publishes updates in the school newsletter released each fortnight.
